Growing up in a seemingly loveless and unwelcoming household with a distant father and a cruel mother, Ray Allen Rush developed a distorted and shameful sense of self that seemed impossible to escape. Despite his best efforts, he found himself hurtling toward a self-destructive future filled with endless suffering and pain.

As Ray submitted to the Sovereignty of God, a transformation began without him realizing it. It was a process of uprooting the perverted identity that had caused him terrible shame. This journey was not easy, and he sometimes felt like he was in freefall. Through what would be a very dark night of his soul and spirit, Almighty God brought about a profound transformation in his life, restoring it and providing a cure that firmly grounded his identity in accordance with who God says he is. This transformation brought a sense of belonging that he had never experienced before, which was more valuable to him than life itself.

Ray cannot fathom living a life devoid of the extraordinary attributes that suffering has created within him. Through them, he gained an unwavering sense of rest in the trustworthiness of God, which he would have never known had his life been easy. Watching the Lord work all things for his good has transformed his entire outlook on life.

Everything that the Lord Jesus has done in setting Ray free has enabled him to discover his true identity as defined by Him. God's validation has empowered him to release his anxieties, doubts, and fears. By recognizing and embracing God's love, Ray has been granted the incredible ability to love others unconditionally.

Reflecting on his past and recalling the immense confusion and brokenness he experienced years ago, Ray is overwhelmed with hope when he encounters those currently facing similar struggles. In these moments, he is reminded of the boundless power of God, for he now knows that nothing is beyond His reach. Miracles become a tangible reality when individuals wholeheartedly surrender to the loving lordship of their Savior. The sheer joy of proclaiming this truth is indescribable for Ray Allen Rush.
