About The Author
Ray Allen Rush
Ray Allen Rush was born in 1963 and raised as the youngest of six on a Kansas farm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social work and lives on a small homestead where he raises miniature cattle, land and water fowl, and cultivates exotic plants and daylilies from seed. But his greatest joy isn’t found in farm life—it’s found in praying with people and watching God move in their lives. He can occasionally be found parked along a state highway near where he lives, with signs that read, “Pull Over & Let’s Pray About It,” offering hope to anyone who needs it.

His book, A Reason to Believe; Jesus, The Cure, is a deeply personal account of the oppression Ray faced for much of his life, and the relentless battle against a dark spiritual presence that ultimately led to his freedom. His testimony reveals what happens when we take Almighty God at His Word and dare to stand on it—how God proves Himself strong and turns even the most painful circumstances for our good.

Through powerful encounters with the unseen world during late-night prayer on abandoned roads near his home, Ray has gained rare insight into the spiritual battle between light and darkness that surrounds us. He warns that our enemy is real, deceptive, and aggressive—but emphasizes even more strongly that the love and power of God are greater still, able to shatter every chain and bring lasting deliverance.
